Steven Ziakas

I have been the Chief Executive Officer of MarketPlace Fresh for over 3 years now. Having been in the fresh produce industry for over 32 years, and operating my own business for over 25 years, I have been able to garner an intimate knowledge of the industry, from growers, growing regions and the seasonality of produce.

I have forged extensive relationships with growers for direct supply both locally and around the world which allows MarketPlaceFresh to continue to grow.

I have extensive experience in servicing the major supermarkets, along with independent retailers. I have experience in successfully securing supply contracts in the hospitality sector with major groups, which has assisted in growing the Company’s wholesale division.

My experience in running my own business for many years has allowed me to gain extensive skills in management, including operating successful warehousing and distribution centres, whilst controlling all facets of the business, such as labour costs to ensure the continued running of a profitable and professional business.
